How your identity as a professional coach has developed?

29th March 2021 by Cornelia Bogatu

Request for research participants

Dear Coaches

Please, consider participating in this research project that is designed to contribute to knowledge about professional identity of coaches.

This purpose of this doctoral study is to explore how independent coaches working in organisational settings develop their professional identity.

If you are someone who:

  • introduces yourself as a professional coach,
  • have at least five years of coaching experience,
  • are accredited by a professional coaching body and/or have completed a coaching course in higher education,
  • and work as a self-employed / independent coach in organisational settings,

…we would be very grateful if you could take part.

Your participation would involve engaging with a completely anonymised questionnaire, with some demographic, but then – mainly reflective questions on your journey as a coach. If you are interested, please access the link below for more information and for the start of the questionnaire:

If you have any further questions, please contact me, Cornelia Bogatu, PhD student at Oxford Brookes University.

The project is supervised by Professor Tatiana Bachkirova and Dr Peter Jackson.
